North Shore Explorer Guide
Ad Specifications

A professional ad design is recommended for your ad in the North Shore Explorer guide. It is an important piece of advertising for your brand and it should look top-notch and professional. 

If you do not have a designer, we can create an ad for you (a design fee may apply for some ads). 

File Requirements: 

• Color profile must be CMYK. PMS/spot colors must be deleted prior to submission. 
• Black text and lines must be 100% K set to overprint
• Do not use the style menu for bold, italic, or other type styles; use the proper version of the font. 
• ​File must be built at 100% size.
• Images must be linked, not copied and pasted. 

Acceptable File Formats

• PDF/x-1a2001
• ​TIF - 300 dpi
• EPS - fonts outlined, images embedded, 300 dpi
• Native InDesign packaged with images and fonts. (True Type and Multiple Master fonts are not acceptable)
• JPG, GIF, Publisher, and Word Documents are not acceptable formats​

When we receive your ad it will be checked to make sure it meets specifications. If it does not, we will notify you to make changes. All ads must meet the specifications in order to be included. We can help if needed. 

2024 Ad Sizes - all sizes are in inches - wide x tall. 

• Full Page or Cover
  • Full Bleed: 6.5 x 9 + .25 on each side. 
  • No Bleed: 5.75 x 8.125
• ½ page - horizontal
  • 5.75 x 4
• ¼ page - vertical
  • 2.8125 x 4
• ⅛ page - horizontal    
  • 2.8125 x 1.9375
